Dennis DeMolet with Paul Rieckhoff, Iraq Veterans USA Guard ,at a Book signing of his book, “Chasing Ghosts”. His book is full of the aspirations that many if not all veterans have had upon a tour of combat duty in uniform. Paul and Dennis spoke together of what is needed in Washington D.C. for veterans. Paul confirms that DOD, VA and the Administration do not care for veterans after leaving service. Paul said “We need more support and our voices heard”. Both parties do not share what the veterans ask for, all present veterans all agree on this matter of non-support. This group of men and women are very overworked and cannot stand the demands placed upon of what is being asked for them. Men and women are leaving the services to work for contractors for they receive more assistance and money than they do while in uniform. Yet when discharged or returned to their home to serve in the reserves for additional duties, they see no future. This is the same story we have heard time and time again from all veterans.
